From pregnancy through postpartum, you don’t have to do it alone.

Whether you're diving into motherhood for the first time or you're a seasoned pro, know that doula support isn't just about navigating the journey – it's about thriving through it. Caring hands are here to walk beside you, making every step lighter and every moment more meaningful. Let's discover together how we can make your journey into parenthood smoother, happier, and filled with love.

Birth Doula

A birth doula is like your personal birthing cheerleader, providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

From easing discomfort during contractions to offering reassurance and guidance, a doula ensures you feel empowered, supported, and informed every step of the way.

Research shows that having a doula by your side leads to shorter labors, reduced need for interventions, and increased satisfaction with your birth experience, making them an invaluable asset on birth team.

Postpartum Doula

Offering practical assistance, emotional support, and evidence-based guidance, a postpartum doula helps you navigate the early days with confidence and ease. From assisting with feeding and newborn care to providing a listening ear and helping hand around the house, a doula ensures you feel supported, cared for, and empowered as you adjust to your new role. Research shows that families who receive postpartum doula support experience lower rates of postpartum depression, increased breastfeeding success, and greater overall satisfaction with their parenting journey, making a postpartum doula an invaluable ally during this transformative time.

FAQs

  • As your doula, we’ll meet two or more times prenatally to discuss your birth desires, prepare for labor with positioning practice and mindful breathing techniques, and work with your partner to create a plan to best support you. I’ll help you create a postpartum game plan to set your new family up for success. Above all, we’ll create a relationship on love, safety, and trust so we can enter the birthspace free of inhibitions.

  • The only “right” kind of birth is the one where you feel supported and respected. No matter what kind of birth you want I’d be honored to help you achieve it.

  • First we’ll schedule an “interview” in a public meeting space (my favorites are coffee shops or anywhere your kiddo likes to play). This is to ask all your burning questions and decide if my vibe is right for you.

Then after you decide you’re ready to have me on your team, we’ll sign a contract and schedule a prenatal appointment. I’ll come to you for prenatal appointments so we’re nice and comfortable by the time the big day comes.

Starting at 37 weeks I’ll be on call for whenever baby decides they’re ready. When it’s go time I’ll be there to help you and your partner stay calm, remember what we practiced, and welcome your precious baby. I’ll stay for up to two hours post-birth to help you all get settled in.

Finally, we’ll have a postpartum appointment. I’d love to hear all about your experience and help around the house.

  • Unfortunately, most insurances do not cover doula care yet. Some policies will reimburse you with an itemized receipt and physician note, so it’s worth calling your insurance company to find out.

You may also be able to purchase doula services with your FSA/HSA card after submitting a physician’s note and invoice from me.

I understand each family has a unique and personal financial situation. I offer a variety of payment schedules to fit your needs.
